Meet Jim

Jim is a beach bum, born and raised in South Florida. Unable to stay away from the water, Jim joined the Navy and served in sunny, San Diego, California where he met and married his first wife, Judy. Requiring medical care for Judy’s Cystic Fibrosis, Jim and Judy moved to Colorado and had two children before Judy went to be with the Lord in 1984. Eventually, Jim fell in love with his co-worker Nancy, and remarried.

Jim and Nancy were blessed to have two children and now live in Dillon, Colorado where they’ve lived, and Jim has served as the senior pastor of Dillon Community Church since 2013. (www.dillonchurch.org) Jim now has four adult children and 10 grandchildren. While he isn’t playing with his grandkids, sailing, four wheeling, writing, or listening to Handel’s Messiah every single day of the Christmas season, Jim can be found involved in domestic and cross-cultural ministry. His 30 years experience in cross-cultural ministry and teaching include leading pastoral and leadership conferences as well as taught courses at schools in Nepal, Mozambique, Haiti, and India. In addition to pastoral ministry, he teaches in the Doctor of Ministry program at Denver Seminary. Jim is also currently serving as a current board member and chairman of the finance and audit committee of Eagle Projects International having also previously served as a chairman of the board for Cadence International. Teacher

Jim discovered his love for teaching while serving in Germany with Cadence International. After completing his Ph.D, he taught on the faculties of several seminaries and universities. In addition to teaching regularly at Dillon Community Church and Denver Seminary, he teaches abroad annually in 3rd world countries. The financial costs to complete his Th.M. and Ph.D. were covered by scholarships and friends. This led Jim to develop a heart to teach in poorer countries in addition to speaking at conferences. Through donations, he teaches in several countries under the auspices of Eagle Projects International.
